Diamond import & export rights

Authorized by the Ministry of Commerce, Diamond Administration of China (DAC) has started to process applications of diamond import & export rights for overseas members of Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE).

• Requirements
To qualify for the diamond import & export rights, overseas members of SDE shall meet the following requirements:

• Have an enterprise registered inside SDE

• Import & export only diamond (including rough diamond, polished diamond and diamond jewellery without gold and silver)

• Process the import & export declaration procedures only with SDE Customs

2. Business operation rights of overseas members

After the application approved by DAC, overseas members of SDE can handle diamond import & export declaration procedures at the SDE customs, as well as diamond exit & entry registration procedures.
