Diamond Administration of China (DAC) set up its advisory panel following its establishment in 2000. In Nov 2007, nine celebrities in the world diamond industry were appointed as DAC advisors, whose term is three years.

DAC advisory panel consist of heads and experts of international diamond organizations from countries including Belgium, Israel, United States, India, South Africa, UAE and China.

For the purpose of strengthening the ties with advisors and enabling the advisors playing a more important role, DAC has worked out an advisory working system, which includes the following sub-systems.

1.      Advisory contact

Policy research office of DAC is in charge of the contacting with advisors. Keeping close touch with advisors on behalf of DAC and a special email box （dac_2008@163.com）will be assigned to specified persons. Advisors can contact with DAC by the email box and DAC can use the email box for message-posting, information-notification and work contacts.

2.      Information notification

DAC will send advisors <China Diamond Information> both by mail and e-mail regularly, briefing advisors with diamond import & export and transaction information every quarter and related news and policies of China diamond industry.

3.      Advisory consultation

As the authorities and experts in the world diamond industry, diamond advisors will be consulted by DAC with questions about development of Shanghai Diamond Center and China diamond industry. The advice and suggestion form advisors and experience of world diamond industry will be used for reference.

4.      Advisory meeting

DAC will invite advisors to attend advisory meeting in China on the occasion of international meeting and events here. The meeting includes information notification, consultation and seminars on China diamond trade administration and diamond industry development.
